DANCING SKELETONS COLLECTION

This piece was inspired by monarch butterflies. The shape of the dress is designed to reflect the wings of a butterfly. A common phenomenon is the arrival of monarch butterflies during the start of the day of the dead celerbration. Acrylic on canvas	Inspired by the marigold flower. The flow the skirts swirl to mimic the flower petals at the floor of the skirt. Bright orange is contrasted by stripes of various colors. Petals adorn the floor as the woman dances to the edge of the frame. Acrylic on canvas Original SOLD	A woman dances towards the frame. Skirts billowing around her. The red and green details are inspired by the red and green chiles native to New Mexico.
